在宜昌的风景区，常常可以见到蜡梅的身影，与名胜古迹相映生辉。当阳市长坂坡遗址公园“长坂雄风”碑东西两侧，6株蜡梅树黄花满枝，香气清远，引得游人排队拍照打卡。这座石碑始建于明代万历年间，几经损坏、盗窃。抗日战争胜利后石碑重刻，公园管理人员又在旁栽种蜡梅，成为市民游客追古抚今的旅游景点。
